Scope and Contents The Johnson City Press newsclippings consist of clipped newspaper articles maintained by Johnson City Press staff writers and reporters on local, regional and national topics. Also included are daily and by-line columns of the paper. Lists of articles written on envelopes which contained the clippings have been kept and filed with the appropriate subject. Johnson City Rephotography Project

Scope and Contents

The collection consists of eighty (80) 13x19 black and white photographic prints made by visiting professor Joshua Greer's advanced photography class. Students chose negatives from the Burr Harrison photographs and restaged the photographs at the original location. Most of the photographs were taken in Johnson City, Tennessee, with a few from Jonesborough, Tennessee and one from Elizabethton, Tennessee.

Ridley Wills East Tennessee Postcard Collection

Scope and Contents

Ridley Wills began collecting Tennessee postcards in the 1930s, eventually amassing some 30,000 postcards. In 2015, he began distributing them to regional institutions. The cards in this collection represent landmarks in East Tennessee, especially in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and in Carter, Greene, Johnson, Sullivan, Washington and Unicoi Counties. There are images of schools, churches, hotels, towns, railroads, scenery and more.
