Scope and Contents
The D.M. Brown Collection consists of glass-plate lantern slides, negatives, index title cards, 16mm films, and a lantern slide projector. Most of the lantern slides were apparently made by Brown in the 1930s as part of his dissertation research at Duke University on plant communities on Roan Mountain.
