Scope and Contents

The collection consists of photocopies of minutes of Blountville Circuit Stewards' Quarterly Conference (November 13, 1841-December 4, 1859 and September 30, 1873-August 2, 1886) and includes financial statements, ministerial examinations and licensing, reports on Sunday School election of trustees, reports on the state of the church for Blountville Circuit, and committee reports on various subjects.

The Clear Fork Baptist Church Minute Book consists of a single bound volume that contains handwritten meeting minutes, membership lists, financial records, and the names of individuals who were withdrawn from the church's membership roll. The minute book documents the weekly operation and activities of this Greene County, Tennessee church. The book also contains two distinct lists that identify the church's membership for the years 1875 and 1890.

Scope and Contents The Emanuel Lutheran Church Records consists of photocopies of lists of communicants, baptisms, confirmants and of those attending catechism. There are also some church minutes, including decisions about financial matters, election of church officials and teaching catechism in English rather than Dutch. The collection includes the minutes of association for the Holston Baptist Association meetings from the mid 1800s to 1904.

Arrangement

The collection is organized into three series, as follows: Series 1, Diary, 1836-1838 and undated; Series 2, Lecture Notes and Sermons, 1842-1875 and undated; and Series 3, Oversized Material, c. 2005.

The Philadelphia Cumberland Presbyterian Church Session Minutes and Church Register is a photocopy of the volume documenting the years between 1906 and 1958. The minutes record church proceedings, while the registers list pastors, elders, deacons, baptisms, marriages and deaths. Also included are annual church reports and annual reports to the presbytery.

The Stoney Creek Baptist Church Records consist of photocopies of a typed transcript of the minutes of the church for the period 1841-1873. The minutes document the operation of the church at its regular business meetings and include such information as church finances, membership, baptisms and deaths, associational business, and related church activities.
