Scope and Contents The Blaine Taylor Papers contain family, political, and miscellaneous correspondence, newspapers and clippings, speeches, broadsides, and pamphlets relating to Alfred Alexander Taylor's political career and the Taylor family. Most of the papers concern Alfred Taylor's successful 1920 Tennessee political campaign for governor for which Blaine Taylor served as campaign secretary. The papers offer an insider’s view of the running of a statewide political campaign in early 20th century Tennessee.
