The recording is a digital copy of a Dock Boggs concert that took place at Appalachian State University on November 11, 1966. There is also a transcript of Boggs' introduction to the concert and to the songs.
The collection consists of bluegrass and country music memorabilia created or acquired by Lewis Deneumoustier over a period of several decades. Among the materials are serial publications, song and picture folios, fan club journals, sheet music, photographs, posters, trading cards, and flyers from concerts and festivals. In addition there are materials relating to Deneumoustier’s tenure as the editor of the Disc Collector newsletter.
The recordings consist of nine audiotapes of the Carlton Haney Labor Day Bluegrass Festival in Berryville, Virginia, recorded by Rod Roach in September 1967; an audiotape of the Shady Valley boys in 1963; an undated audiotape of J.D. Crowe and Bill Monroe performances; and an undated audiotape of a Rod Roach band rehearsal.
