The Dogwood Garden Club Records document the history, development, and activities of this Johnson City, Tennessee garden club and its members. The records consist of nine scrapbooks, which contain newspaper clippings, photographs, correspondence, event programs, and miscellaneous printed matter.

The collection is divided into three series: Series 1, Organization Records, 1954-1991; Series 2, Scrapbooks and Memorabilia, 1963-1985; and Series 3, Miscellaneous Publications, 1979-1991.

The collection is arranged in two series: Series 1, Photographic Prints 1892-1922 (divided into two subseries: Subseries 1.1, Gaunt and McDonald Family Members, 1892-1922; and Subseries 1.2, Other Prints, 1900-18), and Series 2, Johnson City Garden Club Yearbooks, 1947-78.

The papers of the Johnson City Council of Garden Clubs consists of scrapbooks, correspondence, newsclippings, reports, pamphlets, event programs, membership lists, and memorabilia. The records document the general operation of the council and the management of its horticultural and conservation activities. There are some materials that relate to individual garden clubs within the Council.

The materials include meeting and membership information as well as Garden Club programs, photographs, scrapbooks, and a blueprint.
