According to the title page, Dobson wrote the biography between 1910 and 1914, and his son, Roy Calvin, edited the document in 1915. The Dobson autobiography covers aspects of Dobson's life from his conscription into the Confederate army in 1862, through his postwar career as a medical doctor in the Broylesville area. Charles Randy Brown Collection

Scope and Contents This collection documents the work of Charles Randy Brown, photographer, film maker, and animator. Much of Brown's career was spent at WCYB-TV, where he devised a technique for processing color film using equipment designed for black-and-white stock. He also made commercials for other agencies and film production companies, such as Mountain Dew. The collection also includes photographs of various TV and movie personalities.

Several ledgers containing different types of book keeping information with overlapping date spans for each of the mill's account are arranged chronologically by the last date of each ledger's span date. Bruner Journal consists of one file folder that contains a photocopy of Bruner’s 1852 journal of his planned travel from Greene County, Tennessee, to the California goldfields. The journal documents Bruner’s travels through North and South Carolina, where he caught a ship at Charleston and sailed to Cuba. Scope and Contents The Butler Project Collection consists of a carousel of 101 35mm slides, a 60-minute audio cassette narration, and narration notes and slide cues. The program concerns the 1983 draw down of Watauga Lake and the reminiscences of individuals who remember Butler (Old Butler), Tenn., before the Tennessee Valley Authority lake covered the town in 1948.
