The Arthur D. (John) Adair collection includes correspondence from Europe to the United States during WWII from August 1943 – February 1946. Oris Hyder Film Collection

Jim Mooney Letters

The Jim Mooney Letters consist of photocopies of 35 letters Mooney wrote to his brother Charles, mostly while he was serving in the United States Navy during World War II. The W. Hanes Lancaster, Jr. Collection consists of a spiral-bound typescript of Lancaster's World War II memoirs related to his military service titled, "A Military Adventure, 1943-1944-1945 for My Four Daughters," Lancaster completed the writing of his wartime reminiscence in 1997. The memoir describes Lancaster's experiences as a gunner aboards B-29 bombers in the Asian and Pacific theatres during World War II, including bombing missions into China and Japan.
