The Arthur D. (John) Adair collection includes correspondence from Europe to the United States during WWII from August 1943 – February 1946. The letters are primarily written by Adair to his mother in Alabama. The collection also includes a scrapbook, trip memorabilia, photographs from Europe during WWII, WWII related documents, postcards, and newspaper and magazine clippings.

The Colin F. Baxter Collection consists of 36 undated illustrated posters (mounted) documenting events during World War II such as the attack on Pearl Harbor, the war in Europe, the war in North Africa, and the war in the Pacific.

The collection consists of 50 black and white photographs of Paul Hadley Berry taken during World War II, c. 1945. The photographs were believed to have been taken primarily while stationed in Okinawa. Included are scenes in Hawaii, Okinawa, and unidentified locations.

Scope and Contents The Gladys Addington Brewer Papers consists of newsclippings, a radio show program, correspondence, letters of recommendation and resignation, postcards, poems and essays, and memorabilia documenting the life and careers of Gladys and William Brewer. The films in the collection were taken by Hyder's father, Sam Jack Hyder who began taking 16 mm home movies after he purchased a movie camera in 1937. The films focus on family members and life, and on life at Milligan College. The collection is shelved in the audio-visual storage area.

The Jim Mooney Letters consist of photocopies of 35 letters Mooney wrote to his brother Charles, mostly while he was serving in the United States Navy during World War II. The letters describe military life both in training and while at sea in the Pacific theater. Three letters written to his brother before the war discuss Mooney's baseball career and interests.

The Rocky Mount Historical Association Collection contains newspaper clippings, cartoons, publications, magazines, correspondence, and documents that pertain to World War II. The collection also includes photographs and documents of the Jack Snider Country Store exhibit at Rocky Mount.

Keen Papers consists primarily of correspondence written by brothers Stewart Jr. and Virgil Keen from Europe to their family in Mavisdale, Virginia during World War II. The W. Hanes Lancaster, Jr. Collection consists of a spiral-bound typescript of Lancaster's World War II memoirs related to his military service titled, "A Military Adventure, 1943-1944-1945 for My Four Daughters," Lancaster completed the writing of his wartime reminiscence in 1997. The memoir describes Lancaster's experiences as a gunner aboards B-29 bombers in the Asian and Pacific theatres during World War II, including bombing missions into China and Japan.

The materials in this collection relate to the World War II (1941-45) work of the Holston Ordnance Works, Kingsport, Tennessee.
