Rocky Mount Historical Association Collection

The Rocky Mount Historical Association Collection contains newspaper clippings, cartoons, publications, magazines, correspondence, and documents that pertain to World War II. The collection also includes photographs and documents of the Jack Snider Country Store exhibit at Rocky Mount.

The Ron D. Vance and Barbara H. Wickersham Collection contains oral history tapes, transcripts, and subject files relating to the “History of the Highlands According to the People Who Lived It,” an oral history project funded by the University of Tennessee. The collection also includes photographs of interviewees as well as a Fox and Geese game board with marbles. The collection documents the history and culture of the Highlands of Roan in East Tennessee and western North Carolina.

Cecil Rose Collection

The Cecil Rose collection includes writings by Rose, clippings from magazines and newspapers, and photographs primarily on Southwest Virginia and West Virginia history. Among the subjects covered in the collection are local feuds, mining, and lawmen and outlaws.
