Arthur D. (John) Adair Collection
The Arthur D. (John) Adair collection includes correspondence from Europe to the United States during WWII from August 1943 – February 1946. The letters are primarily written by Adair to his mother in Alabama. The collection also includes a scrapbook, trip memorabilia, photographs from Europe during WWII, WWII related documents, postcards, and newspaper and magazine clippings.

The Elise Draper Barrette Papers document Barrette's work as a librarian and as director of the library science program at East Tennessee State College (later East Tennessee State University). Material includes correspondence, newspaper clippings, photographs, speeches, writings, and school-related papers. Major subjects encompassed by the papers include Barrette's academic work at ETSU, library science institutes for training school librarians, and her work as a library consultant.

Elma Lillian Rankin Beeson Papers
The Elma Lillian Rankin Beeson Papers contain newspaper clippings, class record books, and photographs pertaining to her teaching career at East Tennessee State Normal School. Also included are extensive photographs, postcards and a diary of her 1913 trip to Europe. The papers also contain part of the Rankin family history and several certificates and awards resulting from Beeson's activities involving Tusculum College and various ladies civic clubs.

Butler Project Collection
The Butler Project Collection consists of a carousel of 101 35mm slides, a 60-minute audio cassette narration, and narration notes and slide cues. The program concerns the 1983 draw down of Watauga Lake and the reminiscences of individuals who remember Butler (Old Butler), Tenn., before the Tennessee Valley Authority lake covered the town in 1948.

Clan Maxwell Society Records
The original records were arranged alphabetically into four notebooks: Book I, Maxwell Clan with Maxwell Surname; Book II, Maxwell Clan without Maxwell Surname, A-F; Book III, Maxwell Clan without Maxwell Surname, G-Z; and Book IV, General Genealogical Data. The photocopied records have been placed in acid-free folders and are arranged sequentially according to the original book numbers and then alphabetically by applicant's name.
Georgia C. Coffey Family Papers
The Georgia C. Coffey Papers include correspondence, legal documents, photographs, and memorabilia that document her family and family history. Of special interest is genealogical material on the Coffey family and an autobiography of Nancy Caroline Beyer. The collection includes ten photographs of Georgia Coffey, her husband, and other family members.

Benjamin J. Cramer Collection
The Benjamin J. Cramer Collection contains research done by Cramer on the Carolina, Clinchfield and Ohio Railway (CC&O) and its operations around the communities of Lost Cove, North Carolina, and Bumpass Cove, Tennessee. The research includes an interview with Jack Hawkins, who worked for CC&O for forty years, photographic prints of Lost Cove, North Carolina, and one VHS videotape about the Bumpass Cove landfill.
Daniel Calloway Biographical Material
The Daniel Calloway Collection consists of historical research conducted by Betty J. Cox about her grandfather, Daniel Calloway, the first marshal of Erwin, Tennessee. The collection includes a biographical sketch of Calloway prepared by Cox for a talk at a meeting at the Unicoi County Historical Association, as well as photocopies of supporting documents and copy prints of family photographs.
