George E. Fox Papers
Scope and Contents
The George E. Fox Papers consist of typed transcripts of his weekly radio program, "Religion in the News," that aired on WJHL (Johnson City, Tennessee) between 1954 and 1958. Each program consisted of commentary on current events as they related to religion, often with an emphasis on politics and sociology. While the central theme is religion, topics include, but are not limited to, education, race relations, communism, the military, and healthcare.
