Colored Educational Board of Wise County [Virginia] Letters
Scope and Contents
Four letters from representatives of Cranes Nest Coal & Coke Co., South and Western Railway Co. and Clinchfield Coal Corporation concerning the Colored Educational Board of Wise County, Virgina. The 1904 letters to George L. Carter concern a deed "executed by the Virginia Iron, Coal & Coke Company to the Trustees of the Colored Educational Board of the Clinch Valley Division." The 1917 letters relate to the file "Colored Educational Board of Wise County: GC-1702" apparently held by the general counsel of Clinchfield Coal Corporation.
