Scope and Contents
The collection consists of newspaper clippings; typescript of Sharyn McCrumb novel 'If Ever I Return Pretty Peggy-O'; project files from Virginia Tech projects (including 1991 Blue Ridge Parkway Wintergreen Project, 1989 Blue Ridge Parkway study of Kelly School/Pate's Store/and Ye Olde Country Store; Cambel land case. Other materials include copies of deeds and wills, maps, property appraisal report, and title searches; newspaper clippings covering Southwest Virginia history and the 1989 Pittston coal strike; documents collected and created by Haskell as a result of her cultural resources studies for the Blue Ridge Parkway (includes maps, blueprints, photographs, correspondence, research notes, reports, newsclippings, pamphlets on locations along Blue Ridge Parkway (subjects include environment, land use, development, history, and structures).
