Bonnie Lou and Buster Moore Collection
Scope and Contents
The collection contains audio and video recordings of the 'Bonnie Lou and Buster Show' taped at WATE-TV in Knoxville, Tennessee. The show featured the husband and wife duo and their band performing country music and comedy routines, as well as guest performers. Two notebooks have handwritten catalogs of the television shows identifying songs, guest performers, and costumes worn. A sound recording has an interview with Bonnie Lou Moore and her brother Lloyd Bell. The collection also includes publicity photographs relating to Bonnie Lou and Buster Moore's variety show "Smoky Mountain Hayride Show," aired by WATE-TV. In addition, there are 5 audio recordings [DVDs] of the Jim Walter Jamboree with the Stanley Brothers.

Method of Acquisition
The bulk of the audiovisual material, the photographs, and the notebooks were donated by Bonnie Lou Moore in 2002 and 2004, accessions 2002-020; 2004-032; and 2004-113. Jim Walter Homes contributed additional materials in 2010, accession 2010-002.
