Scope and Contents

The 75th Anniversary Collection contains committee minutes, correspondence, memorabilia, pamphlets, photographs, audio and videotapes, and broadsides documenting the year-long celebration of ETSU's 75th Anniversary.

The addition to the 75th Anniversary Collection consists of correspondence, reports, minutes, financial statements, pamphlets, periodicals, newsclippings, and photographs documenting the celebration of ETSU's 75th Anniversary (1911-1986).

The collection was opened to researchers October 29, 1990. The addition was opened to researchers in November 1997.

Arrangement

The collection is divided into four series: Series 1, Committee Correspondence and Minutes, 1984-1987; Series 2, Subject Files and Action Plans, 1984-1986; Series 3, Publications, 1985-1986; and Series 4, Audio and Videotapes, 1986.

The addition is arranged alphabetically by topic in one series, Subject Files.

Method of Acquisition

The 75th Anniversary Collection was transferred to the University Archives by the 75th Anniversary Committee and subcommittee chairpersons over a period of three years between 1984 and 1987. An addition to the 75th Anniversary Collection was transferred to the University Archives by Helen Roseberry, B. Carroll Reece Museum.

Accruals and Additions

Fred Borchuck donated the Tennessee Homecoming '86 poster and fan in September 2013, accession #2013-055.

Processing Information

The following completed processing the collection in 1990: J. Clark, L. Shipley, M. Garrant, and Scott Schwartz. Georgia Greer completed processing the addition in 1997.
