Mary D. Manning Interview
Scope and Contents
The Mary D. Manning Interview collection consists of two audiocassette tape recordings of an oral history interview with Manning conducted March 31, 1996 by Marie Graves, a former student. The interview examines Manning's life and teaching career at East Tennessee State University and helps document the history and development of the university and its Department of English during the period from the late 1940s into the 1980s.
Tape 1 is recorded on both the A and B side (approximately 30 minutes each), while Tape 2 which continues the interview is recorded only on side A (approximately 10 minutes).
