Department of Curriculum and Instruction Records

 Collection
Identifier: UnivRec-0587

Scope and Contents

The Department of Curriculum and Instruction Records are comprised of various, standardized-education tests and testing materials. They were administered by the department and generally used nation-wide for measuring academic achievement and education levels, exploring student psychology, and testing concept utilization skills of public school students. The test samples provide a fairly complete look at educational tests and testing methodology used across the country from the 1920s through the 1990s. In addition, the collection includes a small amount of office files and departmental correspondence. Oversize items, including picture puzzles and Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC) materials, are stored in Box 15.
