Material is arranged alphabetically by subject and filed chronologically with undated material following dated material.
Method of Acquisition
The papers of David Sinclair Burleson were placed in Sherrod Library (date unknown) and transferred to the Archives of Appalachia on February 15, 1979 and opened to researchers on May 18, 1979. Additional papers were found in basement of the Sherrod Library on October 19, 1995 and transferred to the archives. An addition was made to the collection by Harold Burleson and Steve Preston, Milligan College Library, on October 1, 2001.
Processing Information
Ned Irwin processed additional materials added to the collection in 1997 and 2001.
