Scope and Contents
The C. H. Lyle Papers documents Lyle’s personal and extensive business activities in Johnson City, Tenn., especially as owner of the newspaper The Comet. Material in the collection includes correspondence, post cards, income tax forms, receipts, school report card and other personal items, miscellaneous publications, printed ephemera, and business ledgers for the newspaper The Comet.

Method of Acquisition
The C. H. Lyle Papers were transferred to the Archives of Appalachia from the Reece Museum on May 17, 2001.
