The Georgia C. Coffey Papers include correspondence, legal documents, photographs, and memorabilia that document her family and family history. Of special interest is genealogical material on the Coffey family and an autobiography of Nancy Caroline Beyer. The collection includes ten photographs of Georgia Coffey, her husband, and other family members.

Immediate Source of Acquisition
The papers of Georgia C. Coffey were donated to the Archives of Appalachia on July 26, 2004 by Judith and Don Slagle of Johnson City, Tennessee. Don Slagle is the great-nephew of the late Georgia Coffey.

Georgia Greer completed processing, and the collection was opened for research in June 2007.
