The Daniel Calloway Collection consists of historical research conducted by Betty J. Cox about her grandfather, Daniel Calloway, the first marshal of Erwin, Tennessee. The collection includes a biographical sketch of Calloway prepared by Cox for a talk at a meeting at the Unicoi County Historical Association, as well as photocopies of supporting documents and copy prints of family photographs.

Method of Acquisition

The Daniel Calloway Collection was donated to the Archives of Appalachia by Betty J. Cox of Erwin, Tennessee on October 15, 2003.

Existence and Location of Originals

Betty Cox retained the original material.

Processing Information

The collection was processed by Ned Irwin and opened for research in June 2007.
