Scope and Contents
The Terry Ponder Collection consists of an undated album of 25 unidentified black and white photographs of individuals. The only photograph identified is of a woman, Tymander Cary. The photographs include eight tintypes (c. late 19th century) stored in box with album. Photographs in the album appear to be primarily from c. 1940s.

Method of Acquisition
The Terry Ponder Collection was purchased by Ponder at a garage sale and donated to the Archives of Appalachia by Terry Ponder, Johnson City, Tennessee on May 31, 1993.
Ned Irwin completed processing, and the collection was opened to researchers in March 1997.
