Scope and Contents

The Helen Bullard Collection consists of two microfilm reels containing images of meeting agenda and minutes, correspondence, newsletters, newsclippings, subject files, a grant proposal, and miscellaneous papers. The material documents Bullard's activities as a Tennessee artist and the writing of her book. In addition, the papers describe other types of handicraft work encountered in the Southeastern United Sates.

The was acquired by the Tennessee State Library and Archives in 1992.

Method of Acquisition

A microfilm copy of the Helen Bullard Collection was transferred to the Archives of Appalachia on September 2, 1992 from the Tennessee State Library and Archives.

Processing Information

Michelle Saas, J. Stinson and Scott Schwartz completed processing, and the microfilm reels were opened to researchers on March 12, 1993.
