Russell P. Rogers Collection

 Collection — other: Videotape 1
Identifier: 500-AppMs 105
The black and white videotape, "There is No Place Like Home," was taken in February 1980 by Russell P. Rogers. The music for the tape was performed by Robert Story. The forty minute (approximately) tape concerns the controversy which surrounded Waste Resources of Tennessee's dumping of hazardous chemicals into the Bumpass Cove landfill. Citizens active in the fight against Waste Resources explain why they joined the fight against the company. Also included on the tape are scenes of the landfill and clips of a 1979 or 1980 meeting between Tennessee Department of Public Health officials and Bumpass Cove citizens.
