Mabel and Quinty Gouge Interview
The Mabel and Quinty Gouge interview focuses on the history of the Gouge family in western North Carolina. The interview was conducted by Ernest Burleson, with Ruth Cole. The Gouges discussed the Gouge (Geouge) family of western North Carolina. Quinty Gouge sang an old English ballad, the first line of which is "There Once Was a Woman in London." She also recited poetry.

The Gump Family Papers document the personal and business interests of the Gump family of Washington County, Tennessee and related families such as the Kennerlys, Craigs, Donaldsons, and Jaffas. There is some material related to Gump Realty and other Gump family businesses.
Charles Gunter Oral History Collection
The collection consists of recordings of interviews conducted by Gunter's students in connection with his courses on social geography. The interview subjects are primarily from East Tennessee and often discuss topics of regional interest such as music, farm life, coal mining, and foodways. The collection also includes dub sheets for the first eight tapes, partial transcripts of tapes 2, 5 and 6, and summaries of interviews.

H. Phil Carr Family Papers
The H. Phil Carr Family Papers consist of a rental agreement, deed abstract, and an indenture documenting the sale and purchase of Washington County property by the Carr family between 1792 and 1949. The rental agreement, dating April 15, 1900, documents the use of land on Cherokee Creek by J. S. Love and G. W. Greene.

The Harrison and Walker Family Land Documents contain trust deeds, warranty deeds, rental contracts, land surveys, a receipt, and water easement deeds documenting the purchase and sale of land between the Harrison and Walker families between 1876 and 1967.

The Harvey Lee Hughett Collection consists of 120 reel-to-reel tape recordings made between 1950 and 1977 of religious meetings at various East Tennessee churches, singing, "homecomings," folk music, and informal interviews with rural people.
Robert M. Harvey Tape
The video tape recording "Up with Goats," produced by Robert M. Harvey in 1992 and 1993, documents the efforts of the Toecane Ranger District of the Pisgah National Forest to control unwanted plant species on the Round Bald of Roan Mountain during the period May-September 1992. Angora and alpine goats were confined in specific areas on Round Bald by using moveable solar-powered electric fences.
