Biography
Lucy Repass was born in 1935 in Johnson City, Tennessee, daughter of Grace Anderson and Robert Repass. She graduated from the East Tennessee State College Training School in 1951 and attended East Tennessee State College between 1952 and 1955, earning a bachelor’s degree in home economics. She married James Thomas McPherson in 1955. Together they had six children.
Beginning in 1980, Lucy Repass McPherson served as the business development officer for Johnson City’s First Federal Savings and Loan Association. She returned to East Tennessee State University in 1986 as the catering coordinator for Dobbs Food Service and retired in 1990.

The Lucy Repass McPherson Collection consists of materials from three scrapbooks, only one of which is intact. Materials from Grace Repass’ scrapbook date from 1939 to 1948.
