Biography

Nellie Grace Anderson Repass, daughter of Rich and Helen Anderson, was born in Carter County, Tennessee on May 29, 1909. She married William Robert Repass on November 25, 1930 and resided in Johnson City, Tennessee. The couple had two daughters, Lucy and Mary.

Grace was a member of the Jonesborough chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. She attained the rank of Grand Martha in that organization and traveled to chapters throughout East Tennessee. During the Second World War, Grace volunteered as a hostess for the United Service Organization. She also joined the Johnson City Business and Professional Women’s Association, serving as treasurer and was active in the Washington County Republican party. Grace died in April 1974.
