Biography

Jeanne M. Rasmussen was born Lyska Jean Hudspeth in Lubbock, Texas on April 4, 1934, daughter of Carl Hudspeth and Oma Pearl Stephens Hudspeth. She attended Baylor University, Waco, Texas, where she majored in English and received a B.A. degree in the spring of 1953. In August of that year she married George McGranahan, a cardiologist. They subsequently had three children: Jay, Georgia, and Gavin.
