Biography
Dr. David Brooks was a former professor at Berea College in Berea, Kentucky. While teaching at Berea, Dr. Brooks collected a variety of resources for teaching about the Appalachian region. Dr. Brooks has an extensive background in geology and economics and was the founding director of Canada’s Office of Energy Conservation. Currently, Dr. Brooks is a specialist in natural resources and works with the International Development Research Centre in Ottawa, Canada.
