Biography

The German rayon manufacturer Vereinigte Blanzstoff Fabriken constructed the American Bemberg plant in Elizabethton, Tennessee, in 1925. The plant was purchased by Beaunit Mills of New York in 1948 and by El Paso Natural Gas Company in 1967. Later know as Bemberg Industries, the company ceased operation after filing for bankruptcy in 1974.

Buford J. Goldstein is a former vice-president of Bemberg Industries in Elizabethton, Tennessee.
