Biography
Paul Hadley Berry was born to Edgar R. Berry and Effie L. Fair on March 3, 1910 in Carter County, Tennessee. He married Velma Lou Rupe on March 17, 1939. Together they had a daughter, Carol Randy Berry. Berry worked at Bemberg, and he retired from Montgomery Ward in Elizabethton, Tennessee. He was a member of First Christian Church in Elizabethton, Tennessee. Berry died on August 21, 1992 and is buried in the Happy Valley Memorial Park.

Scope and Contents
The collection consists of 50 black and white photographs of Paul Hadley Berry taken during World War II, c. 1945. The photographs were believed to have been taken primarily while stationed in Okinawa. Included are scenes in Hawaii, Okinawa, and unidentified locations.
