Biography
Robert F. Hull, Jr. (b. 1943), is Emeritus Professor of New Testament at Emmanuel Christian Seminary in Johnson City, Tennessee. A native of Welch, West Virginia, he graduated from Milligan College in 1965 and earned advanced degrees at Emmanuel School of Religion (M.Div., 1971) and Princeton Theological Seminary (Ph.D., 1977). He began teaching at Emmanuel in 1977. Professor Hull is interested in the culture of the Southern Appalachian region, particularly the region's folk music.

The collection consists of songbooks of various country musicians, a single copy of a music periodical, a publication illustrating various musicians who appeared on the Grand Ole Opry (radio program), and two copies of an interview with Doc Watson, the Grammy Award-winning musician.
