Biography

Dale K. Larkin was born in Kingsport, Tennessee, on February 16, 1955. In 1972, Larkin began working for United Inter-Mountain Telephone (UIMT) and joined the Communications Workers of America (CWA), Local 10871. Through his affiliation in CWA Local 10871, Larkin served as president of the Sullivan-Hawkins/and Hancock Counties Central Labor Council from 1982-84. Larkin served on the staff of The Communicator, CWA Local 10871's newsletter, from 1982-83. He received his B.S. degree in communications and political science in 1987 from East Tennessee State University.
