George G. Keener, Jr.

George G. Keener, Jr received a Master's Degree in Etymology from the University of Tennessee before beginning his employment with the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) as an Assistant Biological Aid. While at the TVA, Keener photographed field experiences and laboratory work TVA employees and their projects. After leaving TVA service, Mr. Keener became a professional photographer and educator. He taught for fifteen years at the Morristown East High School and also served as the President of the Morristown Historical Society. Keener died at the age of 89 in 2008.
