Biography
Mattie Lowell Wardlaw Mettetal was born on September 24, 1920 in McComb, Mississippi. She was the daughter of Hugh Evins Wardlaw and Mae Magee Wardlaw. She had one brother Hugh Evins Wardlaw, Jr. and two half brothers, Lee Lyle Wardlaw and John Wardlaw. She was graduated from Mississippi State College in 1942 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
