Biographical Note

Thaddeus Abraham Cox was born February 13, 1871 in Sullivan County, Tennessee. He attended Cumberland University School of Law in Lebanon, Tennessee and graduated with an LL.B degree in 1891. While at Cumberland, he became friends with classmate Cordell Hull, future U. S. Secretary of State.
