Biography
Lafayette Jones was a resident of Johnson County, Tennessee, who married Mary Ann Snider. They had one daughter, Alice, and two sons, J. A. (Alvin) and W. C. Alice married Joseph M. Wagner and had one son, Joseph M.
Joseph M. Wagner, the son of Alice and Joseph Wagner, lived in the west for a number of years. Young Joseph probably served with the United States Army Quartermaster Corps for a period of time in the second decade of the twentieth century. One letter from the War Department to Alice Wagner and one letter from Joe to his mother point to such service. Young Joe lived in various states in the west (Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado, Texas, and Utah).
