Bige and Fanny (Torbett) Fitzgerald moved into north Johnson City in 1916, from Wise County, Virginia. The family operated a farm called Three Willows Farm and later a greenhouse at their home. This property was later passed on to their son, Clarence Worley Fitzgerald, who lived in the house until his death on January 18, 1984. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of Snow Memorial Baptist Church. He had one brother, Haskill, and three sisters; Virgie, Alice, and Hazel.
Found in 1 Collection or Record:
The bulk of the collection is composed of poems of Christian and personal themes. Also included are a cash book covering the years 1897 to 1930, correspondence from 1922, and a 1925 map of Johnson City. It is not entirely clear if all the poems were composed by the same person.
