Scope and Contents

This collection consists of audio and video recordings made during Tom Ewing's ten years as one of Bill Monroe's Blue Grass Boys. Most of the cassettes were recorded from radio shows with some audience recordings of live shows in Ohio. The compact discs were recorded by fans at live appearances and from the radio. The video consists of segments broadcast by The Nashville Network (TNN).

Arrangement

The Jack Tottle Bluegrass and Old Time Music Collection consists of one series of audio tapes. The tapes are arranged according to the original list given to the archives by Jack Tottle. The tapes are numbered consecutively. The master tapes are reel-to-reel audio; cassette user copies have been dubbed from the masters. Each tape (with a few exceptions) contains a detailed list of that tape's contents.

Scope and Contents The Bernard Rousseau Collection contains 187 open reel audiotapes of performances at fiddlers’ conventions, bluegrass festivals, music clubs, and studio sessions, 1957-84; as well as radio broadcasts of bluegrass and country music, 1983-88. The collection also contains two manuscript boxes of printed materials, which focus on the conventions and festivals. Included in the two boxes are tape logs, performer lists, and publicity photos, along with convention and festival programs....
