Rotaract Club
Biography
Founded in 1968 by Rotary International, a worldwide association of service-minded business and professional leaders, Rotaract is a worldwide organization of men and women, from eighteen to thirty years of age, who participate in community and international service projects. Rotaract clubs are established for college and university students under the sponsorship of an existing Rotary Club.
The Rotaract Club of East Tennessee State University was chartered on March 14, 1996. The club is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Johnson City, Tennessee. The initial officers of the club were Sergey Boystov, president; Derrick Tarn, vice president; Peggy Cunningham, secretary; and Jon Grayson, treasurer.
