The Phi Kappa Phi, chapter 112 Records contain materials relating to the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi on both the local and national level and document the organizations development and activities. The Collection includes administrative, committee, financial, and membership records, along with miscellaneous subject files and photographs.
The collection is open for research with the following exception: files containing student identification memberships, grades, course work, and other educational records are restricted in accordance with laws prohibiting access to student records and may not be examined by researchers.
The collection is arranged into six series as follows: Series 1, Administrative Records, 1969-1990; Series 2, Committee Records, 1972-1990; Series 3, Financial Records, 1972-1988; Series 4, Membership Records, 1970-1991; Series 5, Subject Files, 1970-1990; and Series 6, Photographs, 1987 and undated.
Method of Acquisition
The Phi Kappa Phi, Chapter 112 Records were donated to the University Archives by Greg Bishop, Department of Environmental Health, East Tennessee State University, on September 13, 1991.
Ned Irwin and Vinita Whittaker completed processing the collection, and the collection was opened for research in April 1998.
