The Douglas G. Nicolson Photographs consist of a series of photographs of construction on the ETSU campus of the Memorial Center, or the "Mini-Dome," as it is popularly known, taken from 1973 to 1975. The photographs begin with scenes of the site of the building before construction began in 1973 and end with the completed building in 1975. These photographs depict different phases of the construction of the building, including both interior and exterior shots.
The photographs are organized in one series and arranged chronologically by month and year of the prints. Undated prints have been placed at the end, together with composite prints which Nicolson assembled by cutting and taping individual prints.

The Douglas G. Nicolson Photographs were given to the University Archives in two separate donations by Helen Nicolson of Johnson City, Tennessee in 1988 and 1989.
Processing of the collection was completed by M.Tedesco in June 1995.
