Carl Woodward Papers

The Carl Woodward Papers consist of personal records and memorabilia documenting the life of Dr. Woodward and include newsclippings, manuals, and other printed miscellaneous matter, a vita, a certificate from the National War College, a photocopy of Woodward's Armed Forces of the United States identification card, event programs, and obituaries; photographs of Woodward and unidentified persons; and an oversize photograph of participants in a "Defense Strategy Seminar" at the National War College (July 1962). Subjects, in addition to Woodward's family and personal life, include laser technology, astronomy, religious icons, and St. Luke's United Methodist Church (in his hometown) of which he was a member. The items in the collection are dated from 1920 to 1993.

Method of Acquisition
The Carl Woodward Papers were donated to the University Archives by Edith Keys on October 30, 1996.
Accruals and Additions
An addition was donated by Miss Keys on July 14, 1999.
