Series 3 includes 3 subseries: Subseries 3.1, Reports and Program Plans, 1967-1980; Subseries 3.2, Studies and Surveys, 1971-1980; and Subseries 3.3, Newsletters and Public Relations, 1967-1980.

Method of Acquisition

The papers of the First Tennessee-Virginia Development District were placed in the Archives of Appalachia by B. Thomas Moore, executive director, on October 29, 1980.

NON-MANUSCRIPT MATERIALS One folder of 35 mm proof sheets and prints is stored in the photographic storage area by accession number. Proofs depicts First Tennessee-Virginia Development District legislative receptions, 1972-76; and King College, Bristol, Virginia.

Three oversize folders of maps, blueprints, and plans of transportation and sewer projects are stored in the map cabinets by accession number.
