The Johnson City Press newsclippings consist of clipped newspaper articles printed in the Johnson City Press. The newsclippings were retained by the paper for their reporters use in researching background information for articles. The articles relate to all aspects of life in East Tennessee. The articles span from 1936 to 1987.
The files are arranged alphabetically by subject in a single series. The addition (boxes 25 to 35) to the collection is arranged alphabetically by topic or title of column. Within groupings of subjects or columns, the folders are then arranged chronologically by year.
