The Daughters of the American Revolution-Sarah Hawkins Chapter Records consist primarily of minute books and scrapbooks maintained by the chapter, which document its activities, including meetings, lectures, essay contests, awards and scholarships, and other service work promoting Tennessee and American history.
The collection is arranged into two series as follows: Series 1, Administrative Files, 1944-1964, and Series 2, Scrapbooks, 1943-1998.
Material in each series is arranged in chronological order. An oversized newspaper found loose in the scrapbook collection has been removed and housed in a map folder and filed in the map cabinet by accession number.
