Brown, Dalton M.
Dalton Milford Brown was a professor of biology at East Tennessee State University from 1926 until his death on November 4, 1952, during which time he also served as chairman of the Department of Biology. Brown was a veteran of World War I. He received his B.S. degree in 1923 and his M.S. degree in 1926, both from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. In 1939, he was awarded his Ph.D. from Duke University. Brown Hall, the science building on the ETSU campus, is named in his honor.
