Arrangement: The collection is divided into two series: Series 1, Video Tapes, number 1-12, 1976 and no date; and Series 2, Other Materials, 1967, 1975-1976. Series I contains 13 3/4" videotapes, 6 Betacam SP Preservation Masters, and 12 VHS Access Copies. The two file folders are arranged with manuscripts placed first and slides second. The two folders are stored with small collections.

Scope and Contents: The David Larry Nave Collection consists of videotapes, manuscripts and slides. The tapes depict E.C. and Orna Ball, two old-time country musicians from Rugby, Virginia; Lynn and Morris, two singer-comedians; and Willard and Ora Watson, a toy maker and a quilter from Deep Gap, North Carolina. The tapes are arranged alphabetically by name of the subject of the videos. Series 2 contains manuscripts and slides. The manuscripts contain rough drafts and supporting notes relating to a National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) proposal for a documentary of E. C. and Orna Ball. The slides depict E. C. and Orna Ball and Richard Blaustein of the Department of Sociology at East Tennessee State University at the August 1975 Mountain City, Tennessee Fiddlers Convention.
