Carroll Reece, 1920-60; Series 5, Scrapbooks, 1913-1960; Series 6, Photographs and Drawings, 1919-61; Series 7, Commendations and Certificates, 1865-1965; and Series 8, Addendum.

Scope and Contents: The original acquisition included correspondence, memoranda, speeches, phonodiscs of speeches, Congressional reports, newsclippings, scrapbooks and photographs which provide documentation on Reece's family and on his personal life and political career, 1865-1965.

In July 1983, 11 phonograph recording were added to the collection. These 11 shellac discs contain B. Carroll Reece speeches.

A third addition to the collection included correspondence, certificates, publications and photographs on Reece's education, military life and political career, 1893-1971. In addition, the addendum contains some papers of Louise G. Reece, including her application for membership in the Daughters of the American Revolution and a letter from Buford Ellington, Governor of Tennessee. Copies of B. Carroll Reece's "The Courageous Commoner" (posthumously, 1962) and "Peace Through Law"(posthumously, 1965); and a copy of "Memorial Services Held in the House of Representatives and Senate of the United States, Together with Remarks Presented in Eulogy of Brazilla Carroll Reece, Late a Representative from Tennessee" (1961) are included in the addendum. Materials in this addition relate to pre-existing series, Series 1, Personal Papers, 1893-1971; Series 2, Republican National Conventions, 1946-52; Series 5, Scrapbooks, 1954-65; and Series 6, Photographs and Drawings, 1919-61.
